A weekend seminar on advanced Research Methodology
with Dr Gibril Fouad Haddad

Course Overview

- Introduction to digital library in PDF and other formats
- Introduction to Shamila searchable text database
- Multi-source Hadith documentation workshop
- Takhrij, tahqiq and hadith verification methods
- Manuscript and printed edition navigation
- Introduction to the best editions of the most important books in the fields of
lugha, tafsir, `aqida, hadith, mustalah, Sira, tarikh, rijal, usul, fiqh,
tasawwuf, isnad, and manuscripts


Prerequisites

- One must be competent in reading and understanding classical Arabic.
- One must have minimally studied to an intermediate level.
- All students must pre-register to guarantee their place
- It would be helpful if students brought their own laptops.
- Open to brothers and sisters.

* Those who do not fulfill the prerequisites may also attend but are not
guaranteed to be seated in the main hall due to space constraints.

Digital Library
Pre-orders will be taken for a unique 110Gb (on an external harddrive)
catalogued digital library which includes over 86gb of pdf books & 20Gb of
searchable shamila library. An essential resource for any serious student of
knowledge.


Course Fee
THE COURSE IS FREE AS A SERVICE TO STUDENTS OF KNOWLEDGE. HOWEVER AN OPTIONAL
DONATION OF £20 TO HELP COVER THE COURSE COSTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED
