It's not very long but... the shame of an unattentive prayer or dua

Stray thoughts wander in my prayer,
My pleas are insincere:
Illusions distract me; large eyes, soft bodies and silky locks of hair
Seem to bring only discomfort and despair.

(that's all folks)

Despair is a Kabirah. Don't spread Kabair without mentioning their status.

Why publicise your sin of having Ghaflah in your connection between you and Allah?

Imam al-Ghazali mentions that you are rewarded in your prayer to the degree of your attentiveness.

Think about Jahannum. Do you want to end up their for even one second??? No. So leave the Maharim and perform the Awamir inwardly and outwardly.

al ghazali also mentioned how some muslims do good deeds to attain jannah, its maidens and so on, whilst the elite worship to please Allah alone.
