سبحان الله I found this very beneficial hope you will benefit from it too. If some knowledgeable brother is watching can someone confirm the part of the last statement of the verse of 'darb' about the women if it's agreed by all Mufassiroon or if some of them has permitted since Shaykh Hamza Yusuf named only a one or two.

وسلام عليكم

Assalamu `Alaykum

What an amazing sermon, masha'Allah. I'm not sure what statement you're referring to, but I think the point of domestic violence that is made throughout the sermon is being missed when discussion turns to other interpretations suggesting the possibility of different outcome. Why would you wonder about this?

Wa 'Alaykum as-Salâm wa RahmatulLâh akhî'l fâdhil,

I'm glad you liked it. The statement beginning from 21:00. I want to know if the interpretation of 'darb' in 'anger' is accepted as a valid interpretation or of it's only done by minor mufassirûn. I remember I only heard Imâm Ata' (رحمه الله), are there maybe more mufassirûn who opted for the same interpretation like him?

BarakAllâhu fîkum
