Assalamu Alikum,

The quote was just an estimate of how many sisters would be needed to have a properly functioning sister, and it hasn't been met yet as only six more sisters posted instead of seven. But since this thread is nearly as old as the forum, we can move on. There's some technical issues that need to be solved, but that should work out insha'Allah. In the meantime, the section would need a sister to take charge of it. It's quite a responsibility though and some minimal PM or email communication with myself will be required in order to keep the section completely safe and absolutely male free. U also have to know a little bit about forums, just enough to be able to get by and figure things out. It will have to be a sister who is an advanced member, and only sisters learner and kantz have posted twice in this thread - so which one will it be?

Wassalam

JazaakAllahu Khairan.

Brother Hamoudeh, I would have to decline due to a couple of reasons. The main one of which is being extremely busy... Additionally, believe sister Kantz might be a better candidate for this task...(hopefully she accepts)

Also, maybe two moderators would be better suited for controlling things. (being available when the other is not etc.)

Perhaps, the of starter of this thread, as well - sister Ameera - (where are u??) :ninja:

It should not be too difficult to manage. A sisters' section is usually an avenue for sisters to hangout, gain friends, giving support etc...generally, discussions are not that intense, just some lighter matters.

However, sometimes, authentic concerns and issues regarding women's affairs will be raised. Proper resources therefore would be required, of such sunnnipath seems to be particularly valuable. Interactions with alimahs or the wives and immediate female relatives of scholars/students of Islam would also an asset. (if possible)

The concern with verifying the genders of members can be met through voice-to-voice chat on messenger or via telephone calls. If anyone needs any help with anything I'll assist, whenever I can.

InshaAllah, everything works out just fine :)

wassalam

Salam,

Alhamdulillah, glad to know we have active sisters participating in the forum. Otherwise I for one felt that I am in the brother's forum page.
Brother Hamoudeh is right the chosen ones had to be an advance member........Sis Learner, please don't shoot, I am breathless....hehe.
I would like to decline the proposal too, being extremely busy but should any of the sisters need to talk please feel free to pm me. InshaAllah.

Wassalam.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

I pray that you are all well, Insha Allah

An only sisters event will be taking place next Saturday on the fiqh of fasting and zakah, Insha Allah. I would urge sisters to make time and attend as it will be very beneficial for yourselves- Especially as Ramadhan is rapidly approaching us!

I have posted the event details on the 'Islamic Events' section, titled- Exclusive course: The month of Mercy.

Alternatively you may visit www.baitulhikmah.com for more information

I hope to see you on the day Insha Allah

Alhamdulilah.

Maybe a female relative of one of the brothers (moderators) here might be the best option.

By the way, this is the site that I had mentioned before:
