He was born in the Jalūm suburb in Aleppo, Syria in 1328 H. (1910 CE) in a family of piety and virtue. His father, al-Hāj Muhammad Khayāta, was known for his piety and he was someone who memorized the Qur'ān, and loved religious knowledge and the `Ulemā. His mother's lineage reaches Fatima, radiallāhu `anhā.
