The majority of Hanafī scholars are of the opinion that the faith of the person who believes in the necessities of the religion by just following (taqlīd) others, like the oneness of Allāh (tawhīd) and matters of Prophethood (nubuwwa) etc., is valid and correct. It has been reported from Imām al-`Azam Abū Hanīfa al-Nūmān and also well-known among his companions; this is also the opinion of Mālik, al-Shāfi`ī and Ahmad.
