A lecture delivered on 28/12/05 in English by Shaykh Samir al-Nass on the status of Ahl al-Bayt.
Shaykh Muhammad Samir al-Nass was born in Damascus, Syria. He studied in the College of Medicine of the University of Damascus. He studied in the United States and became qualified in Internal medicine. He studied under some of the great 'ulama of Sham and Saudia Arabia. He has ijazah in the ten styles of recitation of the narration of Shatibiyyah and Durra from Shaykh Muhammad Sukr. He has ijazah in the ten styles of recitation of the narration of Tayyibah from Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa, who is a student of Shaykh Abd al-Aziz al-Zayyat of Egypt. He has ijazah in fiqh and 'aqida from Allamat Shaykh Abu Yusr ibn 'Abidin, Allamat Shaykh Lufti Fayumi, and Allamat Shaykh Adib al-Kallas. He has ijazah in hadith from Shaykh Yasin Fadani al-Makki, and Shaykh Dr. Nur ul-din Itr. He also has ijazah in hadith from al-Hafidh Allamat Shaykh Abd Allah Siraj ud-din. He has taught at various deen intensive courses in England and North America. Shaykh Samir is presently a teacher in the the M'ahad al-fath in Damascus, teaching Hanafi fiqh in the Takhassus Shariah Department and lecturing in the Masters department. Shaykh Samir teaches tajweed on a daily basis in the blessed masjid of Shaykh Ibn 'Arabi, a post given to him by his shaykh and father-in-law, one of the illustrious shaykh's of qur'an in Shaam; Shaykh Muhammad al-Sukr.
